Kriss has always been fascinated with horses. From his teenage days as a trick rider and working for a farrier, his addiction to reining horses kicked off when he started his first colt when he was only 16 years old under the guidance of Peter Simons. This drive continued when Kriss was given the opportunity to show his first reining horse, immediately winning paycheck after paycheck.

After graduating and receiving his Equine Science degree in the Netherlands, eager to learn more and become a better horseman, Kriss gained the necessary hands-on experience in the United States from the industry's most respected professionals including: Casey Deary, Craig Schmersal, and Casey Hinton. 

During this time, Kriss was trusted and given the opportunity with many 2 and 3 year old horses to train, school and start off their career in the show pen. An important step for these horses who went on to earn big paychecks at many of America's major events!

Coming back from the United States, Kriss did not sit back. He quickly earned the trust and support of horse owners around him, and is committed to implement his knowledge and experience in Europe. Much of Kriss’s success comes from horses out of his own training program. The ultimate proof of his program's success came in 2022, when he went on to win the prestigious Italian 3-Year-Old Futurity.
